Can you tell yet that "Dark Shadows" is only six weeks away? Warner Bros. continues their marketing onslaught with yet another batch of character posters, this time giving us a bit more detail on the characters we met in the headshot centered one sheets just over a week ago.
To recap, the film is an adaptation of the cult TV show (which director Tim Burton says was "awful" anyway), that follows Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) who breaks the heart of the witch Angelique Brouchard (Eva Green) in 1752 and, in her fury, she turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. He wakes up in the 1970s, only to find his manor in ruins and his family in disrepair, to the point that matriarch Elizabeth Collins (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called in a psychiatrist (Helena Bonham Carter) to help. Certainly, the 1970s are in full force here, from the muscle car to the clothing (Jonny Lee Miller is looking pretty sharp).
We'll see how strange is relative when the film opens on March 11th. [NicoFilmosphere]
shes wearimg high heels….not standing on her tippy toes. how would that make any sense
Terrible Photoshoppery aside, I really do like these posters' use of color. Their complete lack of contrasting orange and teal is refreshing as all get out.
Assuming Michelle Pfeiffer's character doesn't levitate, what the hell is up with her feet?
