War is coming. Later today at New York Comic Con, 20th Century Fox will unveil the first goodies from “War For The Planet Of The Apes” (fingers crossed for a trailer), but the studio is stoking the fires of anticipation with a little teaser first.

“War has begun” Caesar declares in this brief promo for the third installment in the franchise, which will bring new and returning faces to the series including Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Judy Greer, Karin Konoval, Amiah Miller, and Terry Notary. And as the title implies, a big battle is going to be at the heart of the latest ‘Apes’ flick, which sees Matt Reeves return after his duties on ‘Dawn.’ Here’s the official synopsis:
In War for the Planet of the Apes, the third chapter of the critically acclaimed blockbuster franchise, Caesar and his apes are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.
