Got a Tip?

Bradley Cooper Only Stars In Movies With ‘American’ In The Title, Signs Up For Crime Thriller ‘American Blood’

Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper is nominated for a Best Supporting Oscar this year for his work on “American Hustle.” Sometime later this year, he should probably star in “American Sniper,” a project he’s spearheading as producer with Clint Eastwood directing, and there’s one more ‘American’ film to come.

THR reports that Warner Bros. has acquired rights to “American Blood,” an upcoming crime novel by Ben Sanders. Cooper will produce and star in the story of an NYPD officer-turned-mob-informant who is pulled into a dangerous investigation involving a missing woman while living in the witness protection program in New Mexico. Andrew Sodroski, who is writing Errol Morris’ upcoming “Holland, Michigan” will adapt the script.

Meanwhile, Seth MacFarlane’sTed 2,” the sequel to the highly successful live-action/CGI hybrid starring Mark Wahlberg is casting up. But apparently you won’t have Mila Kunis this time. The Wrap reports that Amanda Seyfried will play the new female lead. Makes sense given that Seyfried just worked with MacFarlane on his upcoming western comedy “A Million Ways to Die in the West.”
