Still a couple more days left in the American Film Market, which means more projects to be announced, and more silly cell phone camera pics of sales art hitting the web. But there are interesting peeks to be had, and even though filming only started a couple of months ago, early looks at David O. Russell's next effort have landed.
The folks at Collider have across a small stash of pics from "The Sliver Linings Playbook," and no, it's a not a biopic about Charlie Day. Sporting a closely cropped beard that kind of makes him look like the comedian's brother, Bradley Cooper leads the movie as Pat Peoples, a former high school teacher who, after being released from a four-year stint in a mental institution, moves back in with his mother; he then seeks to remake himself, finding the titular silver linings in his life. We also get a look at his "Limitless" co-star Robert De Niro being fatherly and "Animal Kingdom" villain Jacki Weaver looking far less threatening as his Mom. Unfortunately, no looks yet at the other co-stars which include Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Stiles and Chris Tucker.
No release date yet, but The Weinstein Company are eyeballing a 2012 release in the latter part of the year. Check out the pics below.
