Got a Tip?

Bradley Cooper Is ‘The Man From Primrose Lane’

nullOkay, so maybe he's not doing that J.J. Abrams produced Lance Armstong movie, but here's something that's definitely on the plate for Bradley Cooper. A crime story that bends space and time. Say, what?

Warner Bros. has snapped up the rights to James Renner's novel "The Man From Primrose Lane," with plans to develop it as a vehicle for Cooper who will co-produce. Chad Feehan ("Paranormal Activity 4"), who landed on the Black List with "Beyond The Pale," will pen the script that centers on a man in an investigation into a series of murders, who is more connected to the crimes than he thought, and goes to some rather … inventive ends to get some answers. Here's the Amazon synopsis:

In West Akron, Ohio, there lived a reclusive elderly man who always wore mittens, even in July. He had no friends and no family; all over town, he was known as the Man from Primrose Lane. And on a summer day, someone murdered him.

Fast-forward four years. David Neff, the bestselling author of a true-crime book about an Ohio serial killer, is a broken man after his wife’s inexplicable suicide. When an unexpected visit from an old friend introduces him to the strange mystery of “the man with a thousand mittens,” David decides to investigate. What he finds draws him back into a world he thought he had left behind forever. And the closer David gets to uncovering the true identity of the Man from Primrose Lane, the more he begins to understand the dangerous power of his own obsessions and how they may be connected to the deaths of both the old hermit and his beloved wife.

It certainly sounds ambitious, which is never a bad thing, so we'll put it in our back pocket and see how it develops from here. Next up for Cooper is David O. Russell's formerly titled "American Bullshit" which starts shooting imminently, and in just a few short months he reunites for the last time with the Wolf Pack for "The Hangover Part III."
