Last we heard the fourth installment in the ‘Bourne’ series was supposed to start filming next spring with Brazil as the likely backdrop. Not so fast. Literally.
Matt Damon was recently holding a group interview in Pasadena, CA to promote his History Channel special ‘The People Speak’ and had this to say, “I just saw [producer] Frank Marshall, and we were talking about it. Then I’ve talked to Paul Greengrass quite a bit about that…None us have kind of seen [a script] yet, and Paul’s still cutting a movie that we worked on [‘Green Zone’], so we’ll get together and talk about it.” Damon then added in response to another question, “Oh yeah, we won’t do it unless it’s good. Promise.” Needless to say, if the lead actor, producer, and director all haven’t seen a script yet the project isn’t likely to be ready to shoot anytime soon.
Another possibility is that ‘Bourne’ writer George Nolfi’s directorial debut ‘The Adjustment Bureau,’ (also starring Damon and at Universal) has taken up a good amount of his time and has been moved up on the list. ‘Adjustment Bureau’ will definitely come first but at this point we would say a late 2010 start to filming the fourth ‘Bourne’ is probably about the earliest they could shoot and that’s a very generous estimate. Probably for the best that they wait and produce a quality flick rather than rush one out and sully the franchise. [Sci-Fi Wire/ GetTheBigPicture] – Beau Delmore
My brother and I play this game where we try to think of potential "Bourne" sequel titles based on the "Bourne [awkwardly formal noun]" construction of previous installments. They can be genuine or jokey. To wit:
-The Bourne Annihilation
-The Bourne Paternity
-The Bourne Alimony
-The Bourne Colony
-The Bourne Template
-The Bourne Providence
-The Bourne Contention
-The Bourne Intuition
Ha, i like it. Can you change it into a drinking game?
I think you'd have to be pretty drunk to play the game in the first place.
