‘Book Of Boba Fett’ Director Robert Rodriguez Says ‘Mandalorian’ Spinoff Series “Over-Delivers”

Though it has been teased for months now, there’s surprisingly not much revealed about the upcoming Disney+ series, “The Book of Boba Fett.” We know it’s a direct spinoff of the hugely popular “The Mandalorian.” And we know the cast and crew that is involved. But outside of that, fans are largely in the dark about what the show has in store for them. Well, according to Robert Rodriguez, fans should get excited. Very excited.

Speaking to Collider, Robert Rodriguez teased “The Book of Boba Fett,” which he is a director on. The series picks up from the end of Season 2 of “The Mandalorian” and is expected to debut sometime later this year. And the filmmaker thinks fans shouldn’t worry about hyping themselves up too much for the show, as Rodriguez thinks it “over-delivers.”

“[I] can’t say anything about [‘Book of Boba Fett’] at all right now, but it’s coming out in December,” said Rodriguez. “Wait until you see what’s coming. It’s going to blow your mind. That’s all I can say. I can talk it up all I want because I know it over-delivers. It way over-delivers. People are going to be so pumped when they see it.”

Fans have been excited about the return of Boba Fett to the “Star Wars” universe since it was announced that actor Temuera Morrison was reprising his role as the mysterious bounty hunter. Of course, “The Mandalorian” didn’t answer all the questions that folks had about the return of Boba Fett, who was considered long dead after the events of the original “Star Wars” trilogy. Obviously, we’re expecting “The Book of Boba Fett” to answer questions and also feature Morrison along with Ming-Na Wen, ​​as Fennec Shand, in new adventures.

While “The Book of Boba Fett” doesn’t yet have an official release date, we know the series is expected to arrive on Disney+ beginning in December.
