As seen in the new trailer for “Blue Story,” the film follows the story of two teens that grew up best friends in London and even go to the same high school. However, their strong bond is pushed to the limits when one of the boys is jumped and badly beaten by the gang that is associated with his best friend. What transpires is a drama that follows the injured boy as he vows for revenge and begins what could end up sparking a big gang war.
The film stars Stephen Odubola, Micheal Ward, Rohan Nedd, Kadeem Ramsay, Khali Best, and Junior Afolabi Salokun. “Blue Story” marks the feature-length debut for writer-director Andrew Onwubolu, aka Rapman. The filmmaker was inspired by his own life for the story of the film and he also narrates the drama.
“Blue Story” found itself at the center of some controversy recently, when a theater chain in the UK pulled the film from cinemas after violence broke out at a screening of the film. The theater was concerned that the film had somehow inspired the violence.
“Blue Story” arrives in theaters on March 20. You can watch the trailer below.
