“Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” fans alike have been pondering if we’d ever see Bryan Cranston’s Walter White and Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman make an appearance on the prequel/spinoff series. Well, the creative team and network have finally given a concrete answer to that question.
Co-creator Peter Gould first made the announcement Saturday at PaleyFest LA via Variety, and AMC reaffirmed the news that the two actors will guest star on the “Better Call Saul” Twitter account (See below).
“How or the circumstances or anything, you’ll just have to discover that for yourself, but I have to say that’s one of many things that I think you’ll discover this season,” Gould said over the weekend.
This comes after co-creators Vince Gilligan and Gould weighed in on the possibility of the duo reprising their “Breaking Bad” roles while speaking with Variety during the premiere of the final season.
“It would be a damn shame if the show ended without [Cranston and Paul] appearing, would it not?” Gillian teased on the red carpet.
While it was assumed the crossover would happen, this new announcement should give fans an extra reason to follow the final episodes of the Saul Goodman saga as the events of the show eventually bump into the “Breaking Bad” era and potentially give finality to the acclaimed crime series.
