For RPatz fans, the wait has been unbearable. First going in front of cameras in February 2010, they waited patiently for "Bel Ami," hoping it would turn up on the festival circuit in 2011, but alas, it was not to be. Finally, it premiered at the Berlin Film Fetival in February to mostly lukewarm reviews (including one from us), before quickly scurrying into theaters last weekend in the U.K. But a stateside relese date still remained up in the air. Well, tonight RPatz fans will rest easily in the knowledge that Edward himself will be coming to theaters — and even better, into their homes — very soon.
Magnolia Pictures has secured the theatrical rights for "Bel Ami" and will put it into theaters on June 8th. But wait, there's more. The film was also be part of their Ultra VOD program, which means you can beam this motherfucker right into your own home a few weeks before it rolls onto screens. That's right. You can be all alone with period era RPatz. HAWT. For the five of you that don't remember, the film is based on the book by Guy de Maupassant and follows the exploits of a rake, who sleeps his way through women to achieve fame and fortune.
Christina Ricci, Kristin Scott Thomas and Uma Thurman co-star in this steamy little drama. Prepare thyselves.
Lets face it this guy has made it purely on the basis of his looks.
Sad that the guy from Twilight can't bankroll that appeal into an interesting career.
Magnolia is a very small company. It was good while it lasted for Rob.
Oh , what a "wonderful" place to be….so much hate…..DISGUSTING…..
This guy's career is done. This movie got terrible reviews at Berlin. Without Twilight that cast it pretty much nothing.
