Hitmans with a conscience, trying to distance themselves from their moral wrongdoings are something you’ll see us get into a little bit deeper this week. Still, if we’re going to discuss the most morally-conflicted assassin these days, it’s none other than Bill Hader in “Barry.” And the third season of this Emmy-winning dark comedy series—which Hader directed all the episodes minds you returns Sunday, April 24, on HBO. Co-created by Alec Berg (HBO’s “Silicon Valley”) and Hader (“Saturday Night Live”), the two are executive producers, directors, and writers on the show. The eight-episode season will also be available to stream on HBO Max.

Season three is full of darkness, guilt, and emotional horror. Here’s the season two synopsis:
Desperate to leave his violent past behind in favor of his newfound passion, Barry (Hader) is attempting to untangle himself from the world of contract killing and fully immerse himself in acting. But getting out is messy. While Barry has eliminated many of the external factors that pushed him towards violence, he soon discovers they weren’t the only forces at play. What is it about his own psyche that led him to become a killer in the first place? Season three finds Barry and the other characters trying to make the right choice.
