‘The Gray Man’: Ana de Armas Joins Ryan Gosling & Chris Evans In The Russo Brothers’ Netflix Blockbuster

Ana de Armas was having a moment last year, when she really broke out in a big way thanks to her incredible performance in “Knives Out.” But at what point do we stop calling it a “moment” and call it what it really is—an ascension. Not only has de Armas turned her role in “Knives Out” into a career turning point, but she keeps adding more and more major blockbusters to her schedule, including the upcoming film, “The Gray Man.”

According to Deadline, Ana de Armas is set to co-star opposite Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans in the massive, $200 million Netflix blockbuster “The Gray Man.” The film is directed by The Russo Brothers, of Marvel Studios fame, and seems to be the first in what is a hopeful major franchise for Gosling in the lead. “The Gray Man” tells the story of a freelance badass, Court Gentry (Gosling), that is hunted across the globe by his former CIA buddy (Evans). Where de Armas fits into all of this is anyone’s guess, but this is definitely not the first time the actress has starred in a global spy thriller franchise.

Though it’s been delayed for almost a year, de Armas is set to play a major role in the forthcoming Bond film, “No Time to Die.” In addition to that, she’s also set to star opposite Ben Affleck in the highly-anticipated thriller, “Deep Water.” And let’s not forget she’s playing a version of Marilyn Monroe in the forthcoming Andrew Dominik film, “Blonde.” Needless to say, de Armas is done becoming a rising star and is now a full-fledged A-list superstar.

As mentioned, “The Gray Man” is directed by the Russos, who co-wrote the film alongside their Marvel Studios buddies (and producing partners), Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. It’s unclear when production on this might begin, but “The Gray Man” marks the biggest film project in the history of Netflix, so you better believe the studio will not be shy with sharing information as the film draws near.
