Got a Tip?

Amber Heard Has ‘Paranoia’; Kit Harington Adds Voice To ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ & Frank Grillo Joins ‘Mary And Martha’

nullAmber Heard is in talks to join the thriller “Paranoia” as the female lead opposite everyone’s second favourite Hemsworth (well, except for Miley Cyrus we guess), Liam. The prolific director of “Killers,” “The Ugly Truth,” “Monster-in-Law” and “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!,” Robert Luketic, is the man behind the camera, and Heard joins a cast which impressively already includes Gary Oldman, Harrison FordLucas Till and "Nip/Tuck" star Julian McMahon. Heard most recently starred opposite Johnny Depp in “The Rum Diary” and may be remembered by many for looking pretty in the likes of “Drive Angry,” “The Ward,” and “The Joneses.” This will finally give her a chance to act rather than be little more than an accessory, as she will play Hemsworth's love interest who happens to be his ticket to spying into a rival firm in the corporate thriller.

Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington (the all kinds of awesome Jon Snow) will be lending his dulcet English tones to “How to Train Your Dragon 2.” Harington will be voicing a villainous warrior in the sequel, and we expect he’ll be affecting another Northern English accent like his Winterfell-native character in "Game of Thrones," rather than his natural Southern/London accent. That seems a more natural fit for the world we know from the first DreamWorks movie, but who knows where the sequel will take Hiccup this time. Outside of "Game of Thrones," we’ll soon be able to see Harington alongside Sean Bean again in “Silent Hill: Revelation 3D," Sergey Bodrov’s “The Seventh Son” and "Greenland Time" with Vera Farmiga.

And finally, the HBO/BBC co-production “Mary and Martha” (directed by Philip Noyce and written by Richard Curtis) has a new name to add to its cast led by Hilary Swank and Brenda Blethyn. Frank Grillo (“The Grey,” “Warrior”) will play Swank’s husband in the original movie, which will focus on the two female leads who “emerge from traumatic family tragedy to forge a unique bond while fighting for the eradication of malaria.” Grillo will soon be seen this year in the notable trio of “Lay the Favorite,” “Gangster Squad” and Kathryn Bigelow’s Bin Laden pic “Zero Dark Thirty.” [Variety/Deadline/Variety/Deadline]
