Next week the Cannes Film Festival begins, and with it will come a lot of Very Serious Cinema about Important Things, featuring Deep Characters. But, for those looking to get a bit wild, Sofia Coppola will be opening the Un Certain Regard slate with “The Bling Ring,” her take on a teen gang of celebrity thieves seeking fame and fortune, by hook or by crook. There will be partying, pole-dancing and all sorts of bad behavior, and as usual, Coppola has selected a pretty fine batch of tunes to go with it.
We got our hands on the full list of songs in the movie, and no surprise here, they’re mostly aimed at raising the roof. Kanye West, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, 2 Chainz and more lead the hip hop heavy soundtrack, but it’s not all party anthems. The always excellent Brian Reitzell provides some score tracks, and there is some interesting ambient stuff from loscil, Klause Schulz and Plastikman. The tiny band you might have heard of called Phoenix, fronted by Coppola’s other half, has a tune on here, as does kraut rock kingpins Can.
Check out the full list below, with samples where applicable, and turn it up. “The Bling Ring” opens in theaters on June 14th. The official soundtrack lands on June 11th — the tracklist is below. The complete list of all songs on page 2.

Excited about the dynamic soundtrack. It's pretty racist though to lump all of the black artists together except Frank Ocean and just write them off as "party anthem" music and use more flattering, descriptive words for the rest of the groups which mostly happen to be white. Forget the fact that there are even female artists on here.
Surprised there's no Strokes song here, Sofia's last two features had one each. But anyway, good music!
AHAH! When I first heard Super Rich Kids (the Frank Ocean song), I thought about this story. So cool it's in the movie
"tiny band called Phoenix". HAHAHAHAHAHA. Laughing at the sarcasm. Bankrupt is one hell of a song, will fit just right with the partying style of the movie. Frank Ocean, Kanye West and Sleigh Bells are other fine adds. This soundtrack, indeed, promises a very good movie.
You know you guys just stole this off the IMDb boards and its completely fake, right?
