So “Alice In Wonderland” is gonna rock with emo, punk-pop madness, yeah? Yeah! God, though one must assume that most of this music won’t be featured in the movie outside of the credits, that is unless Tim Burton has completely lost his mind.
This album, called, Almost Alice, sounds like an “inspired-by” soundtrack and will hit shelves March 2nd (in fact, the press release says more “re-imagining songs from the Disney classic,” so yeah, don’t worry, 95% of this probably won’t be in the film. A video for the soundtrack’s first single, “Alice (Underground)” by Avril Lavigne, is due in early February (which probably means she’ll be the song in the credits, either that or the last track which looks like it’s a cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit” performed by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals).
Either way it sounds like a horrible idea and one of those cheap, cash-grab tie-ins made by the studio and record label. The album features — you know music that screams Alice In Wonderland — Avril Lavigne, The All-American Rejects, Postal Service rip-off outfit, Owl City, All Time Low, Mark Hoppus with Pete Wentz (from Blink 182 and Fallout Boy respectively) Robert Smith from the Cure, etc. Are we sure they didn’t confuse this with the soundtrack to “Jersey Shore” or “Teen Mom Is Pregnant”? Maybe your kid sister will want this for her birthday, cause we’re sure even ‘Alice’ star Mia Waskikowska doesn’t listen to this junk.

OWL CITY!? LOL
oh god, just when i thought tim burton couldn't suck any more . . .
this movie sounds worse by the second.
Jesus Christ. Can't Tim Burton just open a Hot Topic and fuck Helena Bonhepotism Carter in the front window? That would deliver everything his movies do nowadays.
I would laugh, but this is just so embarrasing…
Maybe this piece of shit will finally open people´s eyes and let them see what a terrible director Burton is…
Then again, we are living in a time where "Avatar" is making a zillion dollars so… I´m not holding my breath.
I bet it's just another cash in album a la Nightmare Revisited:
gross i didn't even know these bands still existed.
Tween culture has Hollywood by the balls. Depressing.
Anyone who doesn't appreciate the work of Tim Burton just lives a sad and pathetic existence.
if any of the people are commenting on how suckish tim burton is need to go suck some hard ass balls cuz this movie is going to freakin rock just like this sound track!!!
What the hell are you people talking about? Most of the songs on this playlist are awesome. And Tim Burton is my favorite director and has made amazing movies.
If you don't like it, don't listen to it… there's an idea. I have serious trouble understanding why every human feels they're entitled to define what "good" is for everyone else.
i agree with runnerfish and Taylor: I love Tim Burton and the soundtrack is as crazy good as the movie. I mean, it's perfect!
..but hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion..
