The "Baywatch" movie is a real thing that is happening, so you’re just going to have to learn to deal with that fact. But you should know this isn’t just some dull reboot, with star Dwayne Johnson promising the comedic take on the material co-starring Zac Efron, will be R-rated. We’ll see if the studio actually let’s it go that far, but the project has gone from a joke, to something nearly legitimate. I suppose that’s what happens when The Rock is involved. And now, a bunch of actresses are hoping to suit up for the movie.
Deadline reports that Alexandra Daddario (who starred this summer with Johnson in "San Andreas"), Ashley Benson, Nina Dobrev, Alexandra Shipp, Shelley Hennig, Bianca Santos, and Denyse Tontz are among those trying out for the female lead role. No word yet on what the part actually involves, but the plot for "Baywatch" will revolve around a serious lifeguard and a young hotshot who team up to save a beach from a mean, ‘ol oil tycoon. Hopefully, the women will given something more to do than just wear swimsuits.
Seth Gordon ("Horrible Bosses") is slated to direct and cameras roll in early 2016.
Sincerely… if any of their agents care one iota about the career of these ladies… they would go out of their way to make sure they DO NOT get a role in this production. Even if The Rock is in it. Something should stay -and die – in the 90\’s…
I believe Kylie Bunbury would be excellent! Even if she doesn\’t get lead, co-star would be just fine. She\’s a beautiful person inside and out, who can actually act. No offense to the other girls, but I haven\’t seen them in anything.
Pls let it be Daddario!
Oh God! I want to stick my spring roll into each of these girls! AWWWWW YEAAAAAHHHHH!
The likelihood of me seeing a BAYWATCH movie in theaters is next to zero. But, if you wanted to convince me casting Alexandra Daddario in the lead role in a swimsuit is a good start.
@Akim Strong take.
I think we ALL know Alexandra Shipp won\’t get the female lead. When was the last time a black actress got the role of the female lead in a big budget movie? I can\’t remember when!
