The plots for Woody Allen movies tend to be state secrets as long as possible before the film is released, and as such, his upcoming “Blue Jasmine” is still a bit of a mystery. But one thing we do know: Cate Blanchett doesn’t seem to happy (or her character anyway).
Following the first image that dropped earlier this month, a few more have arrived, and she barely manages a smirk in any of them. Meanwhile, we get a first look at Alec Baldwin looking like Alec Baldwin, as well as comedian Andrew Dice Clay looking… actually, just as we expected. Comedy? Drama? Somewhere in between? Seems like it will be the latter but again, it’s hard to tell. And the excellent cast which includes Sally Hawkins, Louis C.K., Bobby Cannavale (who looks amazing), Peter Sarsgaard, and Michael Stuhlbarg could really take this in any direction.

The Entertainment Weekly summer movie preview says Alec Baldwin plays Blanchett's husband who trades her in for a younger woman. One scene filmed last September on the streets of NYC, seemed to show Baldwin in custody or under arrest for wrongdoing of some kind.
