There’s a lot of drama surrounding the upcoming film “A Million Little Pieces,” and hardly any of it has to do with the actual film. Most of the intrigue revolving around the project has to do with the backstory of the inspiration for the film, author James Frey, who released a book of the same name and was quickly outed for making up stories and changing facts about his life story for the novel. Nevertheless, the story is so dramatic and well-constructed that it has now been turned into a film.
As seen in the new red-band trailer for “A Million Little Pieces,” the film is venturing into the world of addiction in a very raw, brutal way. Though the story might be fiction, it’s clear that the film wants everyone to understand the depths that addiction can lead people to over the course of their lives.
