So here you go…Hunger-heads? We’re still searching for an appropriate nickname for “Hunger Games” fans. Mockingbirds? Team Everdeen? Yeah, maybe that last one works.
Anyway, EW has dropped a few more photos of the beefy duo of Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson as well as our hero Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming film. As fans already know, the two boys play Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne respectively, the former an easy-going competitor in the gladiatorial games who harbors a secret crush on Katniss (Lawrence) while the latter is her best friend and hunting partner. And oh yeah, he loves her too. So there will be lots of pained looks, sad faces and tousled hair in between the gladiator battles in the dystopian future where the film is set (that might just be the best sentence we’ll write all week).
Filming is already underway with Gary Ross directing and “Hunger Games” lands on March 23, 2012.
\”The cast of Harry Potter all looks the part!\” What short memories people have. Gary Oldman and David Thewlis are at least 15 years too old for their roles; Alan Rickman is about 25 years too old for his. Daniel Radcliffe has blue eyes rather than green — and Harry\’s eye color is actually important to the plot! (He\’s far too short, too, though admittedly they could not have predicted this when he was first cast.) The twins who play Fred and George are natural blondes. By the end, Matt Lewis had to wear fake teeth and a fat suit to even vaguely resemble Neville. NONE of these people looks much like the characters they were cast to play! But they were all excellent in the parts, and that\’s why nobody cared. If these people are good in their parts, nobody will remember minor physical discrepancies any longer.
However, these people look rather glamorously dressed for people supposed to be living on the edge of starvation —
Reading through the comment sections at various sites, and the disgruntlement with the guys continues along with the \”Too Fat!\” accusations. LOL. This movie is gold I tell you. The fandom has already provided me with more entertainment than Twilight ever did.
Why can\’t Hollywood be like the Brits and stay true to the books they are adapting?!! I\’m sure they\’re great actors, but so is the cast of Harry Potter and they all LOOK THE PART!!!
