There are numerous reasons to put Luca Guadagnino’s “A Bigger Splash” on your must-see list this spring. It’s the latest film from the director of the beautiful “I Am Love,” it shot on location in sunny Italy, and the terrific cast is led by Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson and Matthias Schoenaerts. But if that’s not enough, perhaps the film’s soundtrack will tip the scales.
The movie features some choice jams from the Rolling Stones, Captain Beefheart, Harry Nilsson and St. Vincent. The Stones cuts in particular are interesting, with Guadagnino opting for lesser known tracks like “Moon Is Up” from Voodoo Lounge and “Heaven” from Tattoo You. Meanwhile, St. Vincent covers the Stone’s underrated, disco-influenced “Emotional Rescue.”
Check out the full tracklist below. The soundtrack is now avaiable overseas and the film opens on May 4th in the U.S. [Film Music Reporter]

A lot by composer Giacinto Scelsi
There was a lot more contemporary classical music stuff in this (than just the two tracks towards the end). Anyone know what the ambient stuff with the flute and strings was?
