Tarantino Archives points us to German Newspaper’s Belga.be’s photo section who has a first look at Til Schwieger’s character in “Inglourious Basterds,’ Sgt. Hugo Stilgitz.
Now that photos are out, looks like every one’s in the ‘Inglorious’ games despite months of silence. Oh well, better late that never, right?
Schwieger’s character is a German Basterd who has switched sides, acts as their translator and is quite the psychopath.
Hugo Stiglitz is also the name of a Mexican actor from the 1970s and ’80s that ‘Basterds’ director Quentin Tarantino was fond of. Stiglitz starred in starred in over 200 Western, horror and action movies from that era.
