So, Mumford & Sons is still a thing, particularly if you’re into boot-stomping, arena anthems that all sound the same. And now, it seems the band has graduated to the level where they can round up a bunch of celebs to appear in their videos, but kudos to them for nailing this star-filled concept pretty much dead on.
While it’s not the greatest video of the year as many are hyperventilating, the spot for “Hopeless Wanderer” is pretty clever nonetheless. Jason Sudeikis, Jason Bateman, Will Forte and Ed Helms feature as the band in a spot that perfectly parodies the Mumford & Sons image as old-timey dressed farmhand musicians, strolling about Malick-ian fields and hanging out in barns. It’s amusing stuff and the four dudes have a blast with it, and even if you really can’t stand the music, you can still have pretty good time watching it all play out. Check out the video below.
