It may be easy to parody, but it’s hard to sincerely duplicate the style of Wes Anderson. And yet, his exacting method of highly detailed settings, stylized dialogue, and carefully choreographed sequences continue to spawn a plethora of tributes. And one week after we got the credits of “Forrest Gump,” done in the style of Wes Anderson, another tribute to the director is here.
Going by the name of Eclectic Method, these folks have posted a five-minute “Wes Anderson Mixtape” and it’s pretty good stuff. The visual essay breaks down the recurring visual themes in Anderson’s films, the continued use of symmetry, his repetitive use of certain techniques and much more.
