For Woody Allen, "Magic In The Moonlight" is already done, in the can, and he’s moving on—in fact, he’s starting production today on his next film, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone. But for the rest of us, "Magic In The Moonlight" is still new, and with the film’s release fast approaching, a batch of new stills have arrived.
Led by Allen’s new muse Emma Stone, along with Colin Firth, Marcia Gay Harden,Eileen Atkins, Hamish Linklater, Simon McBurney and Jacki Weaver, the frothy tale follows an Englishman tasked with debunking a famed spiritualist, but things get twisted when he starts falling in love with his mark. It sounds like classic Allen, and with the film screening for critics soon, we’ll soon know where it falls in the director’s canon.
Until then, here’s a batch of new images from the movie along with an international poster. "Magic In The Moonlight" opens on July 26th.
What a handsome man and wonderful actor. He could use a hit after the Devil's Knot and Gambit. I can't understand why the Railway Man with his amazing performance did not do well at the box office, even with the mighty Harvey supporting it and Colin making so many appearances on American TV. It was a great movie. Buzz on this film is good. The Railway Man got a standing O at TIFF so who knows. I love Colin Firth and can't wait to see this.
From the little bits and pieces I've read here and there, it is very good indeed.
Can't wait to see "Magic in the Moonlight! Love Colin Firth in anything!
