An open casting call notice has revealed that the Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling led project “Blue Valentine” will finally commence shooting this month, over a year after production was indefinitely postponed due to the tragic death William’s former partner, Heath Ledger.
The film follows the story of a young couple, David and Cindy, who face marital difficulties as one grows and prospers while the other stays the same. It is not known whether original director Derek Cianfrance is still on board; the film’s IMDB page is currently blank.
Gosling has a few projects on his plate at the moment with Craig Gillespie’s “The Dallas Buyer’s Club,” Andrew Jarecki’s “All Good Things” and his musical side project, Dead Man’s Bones. Williams, meanwhile, will next be seen in Martin Scorsese’s “Shutter Island.”
