Though it’s not really much to look at, here’s your first look at Michel Moore’s still untitled Wall Street doc with a still of the filmmaker outside Goldman Sachs headquarters in Manhattan.
Looks like building security and or a police man are giving him flack for filming outside the building. What else is new?
“The movie is not going to be an economics lesson; it’s going to be more like a vampire movie,” Moore joked to USA Today about the hemorrhaging of cash the average American citizen felt during the financial meltdown. “Instead of the main characters feasting on the blood of their victims, they feast on the money. And they never seem to get enough of it.”
We once guestimated, speculamated even, that the doc was going to be called, “Bailout,” which we still think is a strong title so stick with that Michael.
While the doc’s subject matter sounds depressing to us, Moore says it’s ripe for satire. “If you go to see my movies, even if you don’t agree with everything in the movies, you’re going to have a good laugh,” Moore says. “I want them to walk out at the end saying ‘Wow, that was something!’ And in this case, maybe they also walk out asking the ushers, ‘Um, excuse me. Where are the pitchforks and torches?’ “
Hey, we have always wanted to throw a Molotov cocktail in anger. The upcoming documentary opens Oct. 2.
