Amazon describes “Holland, Michigan” as a “Hitchcock-style thriller involving secrets that lurk beneath a Midwestern town.” “Manhunt” writer Andrew Sodroski pens the film’s screenplay. Kidman produces through her Blossom Films banner with Per Saari. The thriller continues the Amazon-Blossom Films relationship, who already team up for the upcoming series “Expats” and “Things I Know To Be True.”
Beyond “Cassandro,” Bernal’s recent work includes “Old,” the MCU Disney+ Halloween special “Werewolf By Night,” and HBO‘s “Station Eleven.” He also has “The Mother,” a drama with Jennifer Lopez, dropping on Netflix this Spring. Other upcoming roles include Hulu‘s “La Máquina” with Eiza González and Diego Luna. No word yet on when “Cassandro,” which stars Bernal as a gay amateur wrestler, hits Prime Video, but expect it to premiere on the streamer sometime this year.
So who else will join Bernal and Kidman for Mimi Cave’s next feature? Stay tuned for more casting news as “Holland, Michigan” inches closer to production.
