‘Seven Wonders’: Simu Liu To Star In Justin Lin’s Upcoming Prime Video Adventure Series

As Marvel fans wait for more information about Simu Liu’s future in the MCU, they’re going to have to settle for an exciting new Prime Video series, “Seven Wonders,” starring the actor and directed by Justin Lin. Sure, there aren’t superheroes, but it still should be fun, right?

As reported by Deadline, Simu Liu is set to star in “Seven Wonders,” a new Prime Video series adapted from the novel by author Ben Mezrich. Justin Lin, of ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise fame, is set to direct with Adam Cozad writing. “Seven Wonders” tells the story of a brilliant botanist-adventurer (Liu) who teams up with an international fixer as they go on a madcap adventure around the world trying to uncover a mystery tied to the Seven Wonders of the World. Yes, this gives us serious “Indiana Jones” vibes and that’s not a bad thing, at all. 

Liu is best known for his work in “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” That film instantly turned the actor into one of the biggest names on the planet. Since then, he has signed on to star in the forthcoming “Barbie” film, as well as the action film, “Arthur the King.”

Justin Lin has directed a number of “Fast & Furious” films. He was originally set to direct “Fast X” and the final film in the franchise, but he stepped away from that film mid-production after creative differences. However, it hasn’t taken long for the filmmaker to find a new project to flex his action muscles. 

A release date for “Seven Wonders” has yet to be announced, but it would seem as if Prime Video wants to get this one in front of cameras as soon as possible.
