‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Trailer: It’s Time To See You On The Other Side On May 27

Its poster reads, “Every ending has a beginning.” That ending may be tough, but it can’t come soon enough. Six years since its premiere on Netflix in 2016 and three years since its last season, the trailer for Season 4 of “Stranger Things” from the Duffer Brothers has arrived.

With countless shows rising and falling in popularity, either cultural phenomenons or dead on arrival in the blink of an eye, it’s fascinating to think about how long “Stranger Things,” with its barrage of ’80s nostalgia mixed with science fiction horror, has held on. One could argue it’s that mixture that has kept the show within conversations online and spawned countless articles speculating the fates and details of its characters.

Of interest, this season will be the return of Jim Hopper, played by David Harbour, a character who seemingly met his demise in Season three but was confirmed back in 2020 with a teaser to be alive, though likely not well, in a snowy Russian railyard. Two years after that teaser, the creative team behind “Stranger Things” has kept other intricacies from Season four a secret. A bigger peek into the Upside Down again finally awaits.

Here’s the official synopsis:

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

With its ensemble cast featuring Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke, as well as new recurring roles for Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, and Robert Englund, Season 4 of “Stranger Things” premieres on Netflix in two volumes.
