Apple and A24 are teaming for a new film, “Sharper,” that will star Oscar-winner Julianne Moore (“Boogie Nights,” “Still Alice“). Moore will play con artist as the film is set in Manhattan’s billionaire echelon.
Benjamin Caron (“The Crown,” “Sherlock“) will direct “Sharper,” who is part of the directing team on Lucasfilm‘s “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” prequel series “Andor” starring Diego Luna. The Black List script was penned on spec by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka.
Deadline has revealed that Sebastian Stan has taken a role alongside Moore. He’ll play a character named Max, “a clever conman known for carrying out complicated plans and making away with large sums of money.”

Stan is coming to Marvel’s “The Falcon & The Winter Soldier” with smaller character-focused projects credits such as “I, Tonya,” “Destroyer,” and “Logan Lucky.”
A24 is said to be looking for a buyer willing to spend $3 billion, and many believe that Apple could be a potential suitor. Other films on the horizon include Ari Aster‘s “Disappointment Blvd.,” Julia Louis-Dreyfus‘ “Tuesday,” Garrett Bradley‘s “Parable of The Sower,” and Joel Coen‘s “The Tragedy of Macbeth.”
