FX Shares Summer & Fall Premiere Dates For ‘What We Do In The Shadows,’ ‘Y: The Last Man,’ ‘Impeachment’ & More

Summer is just about here – and it’s going to be a big one on FX. The network has just announced the premiere dates for its most anticipated titles of the year, ranging from the return of Taika Waititi’s mockumentary series “What We Do in the Shadows” and the next chapter in Ryan Murphy’s anthology series, “Impeachment: American Crime Story”.

The first title to look out for is “American Horror Stories” on July 15, a spin-off take of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s hit horror show “American Horror Story,” with a different self-contained episode set to air every week.

After that, it’s “Reservation Dogs,” a YA spin-off loosely based on Quentin Tarantino’s classic from the minds of Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, following four Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma who steal and rob their way through life to one day move to California. So you can look forward to that on August 9.

On August 25, “American Horror Story” will return for season 10, which is called “Double Feature.” It’s set to star series regulars Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, and fresh faces, including Macaulay Culkin.

“Archer” is returning for its 12th season on August 25, with the new episodes now seeing Sterling Archer and the gang face off against a spy conglomerate called IIA (International Intelligence Agency).

Waititi’s on a roll in 2021, as the third season of “What We Do in the Shadows,” based on his movie with Jemaine Clement, airs on FX from September 2. The new episodes will find the housemates –  Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), Laszlo (Matt Berry), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) – try and figure out what to do when they realize their human friend Guillermo (Harvey Guillen) is a vampire killer.

But if anyone’s having an even better year than Waititi, it’s Ryan Murphy, as his third FX project of the year (and that’s not even considering all his Netflix ventures) will see the premiere of “Impeachment: American Crime Story” on September 7, unraveling the Monica Lewinsky scandal – here played by “Booksmart” star Beanie Feldstein

Y: The Last Man,” a long-awaited TV adaptation based on the DC Comics series of the same name, will reach screens on September 13. The story follows the survivors in a world where every mammal with a Y chromosome has been decimated – except for one cisgender man and his pet monkey.

And speaking of cisgender men: the final project on the FX summer line-up will be an untitled anthology from “The Office” star B.J. Novak. It starts on September 16 and is set to focus on “character-driven stories about the world we live in today,” which could mean anything literally. But as FX has shown with their pretty daring programming, it also means nothing is off-limits.
