Hunting is a time-honored tradition dating back to the earliest humans. Basically, over the centuries, if you need to eat, you can always hunt your prey. But in the new thriller, “The Silencing,” hunting isn’t used for survival. Instead, it’s something far more sinister.
In honor of “The Silencing” arriving in select theaters and VOD later this month, we’re happy to offer our readers an exclusive clip from the thriller that stars “Game of Thrones” alum Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and “Peaky Blinders” star Annabelle Wallis. The film follows the story of a killer that seems to be using his hunting skills to stalk teenage girls in the forest, murdering them for sport. This leads a father (Coster-Waldau) to begin to question whether or not this man might be responsible for the disappearance of his daughter five years ago. His hunch leads him on a collision course with the new Sheriff (Wallis), and their relationship is far from chummy, as seen in the clip.
The thriller stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Annabelle Wallis, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin. “The Silencing” is directed by Robin Pront, based on a script written by Micah Ranum. Pront is probably best known for his directorial debut in 2015, “The Ardennes.”
“The Silencing” arrives in select theaters and VOD on August 14. You can watch the exclusive clip below.
