Got a Tip?

Russo Brothers On ‘Infinity War:’ Only A Few People Know The “True Plot”

Anthony and Joe Russo are killing it on social media. The “Avengers: Infinity War” directors have been sending fans into a tizzy with two simple tweets over the last few days.

Recently, a fan was commenting on Twitter about the lack of title for the upcoming “Avengers 4.” It has been confirmed by everyone involved in the making of the film, that revealing the title of that movie would spoil the upcoming “Avengers: Infinity War.” The fan said that not knowing the title “scares the shit” out of them. The Russos, being the teases that they are, replied with a simple, “It should.”

As you might imagine, this sent Nerd Twitter into a spiral. What does this mean? Is “Avengers 4” going to be called “Avengers: The One Where Your Favorite Character Dies?” Obviously, the directors are keeping mum about the fourth title for a reason. It’s been rumored that the film could be called “Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet,” which tells everyone that Thanos doesn’t get stopped at the end of “Infinity War.” Some are even speculating that the film’s unknown title could be in reference to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Something like “The New Avengers,” for instance.

Either way, we still will have to wait until the release of ‘Inifinity War,’ at the very earliest to find out. But if you don’t see the film opening night in theaters, the Russos, also, want to make sure no one spoils it for you. It seems as if Marvel Studios and the filmmakers are going to go to extra lengths to make sure no one has spoilers for this film before the release.

In a tweet, the Russo Brothers released a letter, written by them, that details all the ways they are ensuring that nothing leaks about the film before its release. They talk about a delayed embargo, with no one seeing the movie until the world premiere in Los Angeles, as well as pleading with fans to just keep their mouths shut for a few months. Ha, not likely.

But the real interesting quote to come out of the letter says, “Only a handful of people know the film’s true plot.” Again, this is just adding fuel to the speculation fire. Thankfully, there are only a few short weeks until the world gets to see the “true plot.”

In the meantime, check out a new TV spot below. Remember, “THE END IS NEAR!”
