Sometimes a movie that comes along that has so many good ingredients, you really hope it meets the potential. That’s the case with “Flower,” led by rising star Zoey Deutch (“Everybody Wants Some!!“) and directed by Max Winkler (“Ceremony“). The good news is, this “unpredictable and audacious” movie delivers.
Co-starring Adam Scott, Tim Heidecker and Kathryn Hahn, and co-written by Matt Spicer, the movie dives into coming-of-age territory, but does so with bite and grit, and what looks to be more than a few inappropriate laughs. Here’s the official synopsis:
Rebellious and quick-witted, 17-year-old firecracker Erica Vandross (Zoey Deutch) kills time with her friends gawking at older men in bowling alleys and sexually scheming guys out of their money. However, her biggest scheme is still to come when her mother asks her boyfriend and his troubled, fresh-out-of-rehab son to move in with them in this biting dark comedy.
“Flower” opens on March 16, 2018.
