CinemaCon is essentially four days straight of advertising. The event is primarily focused on the studios getting cinema owners excited about their upcoming slate of movies, and this means nearly every square inch of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas is covered in promotional material, right down to the hotel key cards. The presentations themselves are star-studded affairs, featuring plenty of advance footage being shown. However, it’s not often that a studio is brave enough to show an entire film, but Disney were feeling ballsy, and unspooled “Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” for attendees.

Technically, reviews are embargoed, but that didn’t stop anybody from tweeting, Periscoping, and share their thoughts on social media. And the overriding sentiment is that the fifth installment in the series is a return to form, particularly after the bloat of the most recent sequels.
