Yeah, yeah, we know, another piece of “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” marketing. But we have certain… appetites, appetites that we can keep in check with help from regular pay-offs from Universal. Obviously, no-one could really be excited about the film, but as long as those brown envelopes of cash keep coming our way, we’ll keep writing about it.
In all seriousness, the more we see of Edgar Wright’s new film, the better it looks, and the new international trailer, which has premiered over at The Sun, is probably our favorite so far. There’s a surprising amount of new footage, including our first substantial look at Brandon Routh as vegan bassist and evil ex Todd Ingram.
Focusing more on Scott himself than in previous clips, it really confirms that, despite skepticism from many, Michael Cera’s nailed the part. It also feels a little more Edgar Wright-y than some of the previous clips; his now trademark ‘tooling up’ montage seems present and on point, for example. And we love the diving-through-the-window gag. There’s also some Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in the trailer– Wright still loves his ’90s alt-rock.
The biggest problem here is that the video hasn’t been uploaded properly, and the final 30 seconds are essentially reduced to a Powerpoint presentation. Once a corrected version hits the web, we’ll update the video Video updated, enjoy the new trailer. “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World” hits theaters August 13th.

I'm surprised you guys are actually interested in this. It looks pretty bad.
Don't even try telling them how retarded this looks. It does no good. I'm sure they'd rather see this than Inception.
haha, you guys are going to be eating your words come august.
i had the privilege of seeing this last month with an audience of twenty, including spike jonze, chris cunningham, mark romanek, and simon pegg, and it blows everything away. not only is the film a swashing bucket of emotional honesty, it has loads of incredible action and performances. it is literally filled to the brim of moments of pure genius and heart.
next to toy story 3, this is the best film of the year so far. actually, it's better than ts3.
well actually, Anonymous, I'm writing this post with Stanley Kubrick, Michael Haneke, and Jesus H. Christ, and we think the movie looks retardooooo.
Are you serious?……the shit they make fun of on this site and they're championing this?
