The next month or so is going to be a good time to be a Wong Kar-Wai fan. The director's long awaited "The Grandmasters" is finally headed to theaters in China, which means that in addition to the newly released trailer, we're likely going to see a lot more promo material for the movie, with three new images leading the charge..
The images show off Tony Leung in the lead role as Ip Man, with film telling the story of the legendary master of Wing Chun who taught Bruce Lee among many others. But, even with the lengthy new spot, that's about all we know about the beautiful looking film thus far, as it remains to be seen what the director has ultimately crafted out of the extensive (and often delayed and interrupted shoot). Moreover, there is still no word on a U.S. release, though Annapurna Pictures does have the domestic distribution rights.

Huge fan of Kar Wai. I almost passed out when I saw the trailer. Any update is very much appreciated.
