Wow, this is a $200 million dollar flop waiting to happen and perhaps Universal still has time to pull the plug, but the cast for Peter Berg’s board game epic “Battleship” keeps getting more and more bizarre.
Sports Illustrated model and aspiring actress Brooklyn Decker has joined the cast of Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, pop star Rihanna, and Tom Arnold (huh?) and the recently announced Hamish Linklater and will be playing Kitsch’s love interest.
Decker will be making her big screen debut in the upcoming Dennis Dugan comedy “Just Go With It” with Adam Sandler, Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston and was in contention to replace Megan Fox in “Transformers 3.”
Inexplicably, this film is still aiming to go into production starting on Labor Day in Hawaii and will hit theaters a long, long time from now on May 18, 2012.
Tom Arnold is not in the movie.
They should release it February 7th. That way they could use the tagline: "F-7: Hit!". I work in advertising.
