Update: Marc Fiore has now told TMZ that Lindsay Lohan is back in “Gotti: Three Generations,” circumventing her management to personally plead her case with the producer. Not only that, she upped her part to John Gotti’s daughter-in-law, Kim.
Well, here’s a bit of news that everyone saw coming. Despite going out to New York City and hanging with the filmmakers at the press conference for the film last week, as everyone suspected Lindsay Lohan won’t be taking a role in “Gotti: Three Generations.”
Executive Producer Marc Fiore reached out to TMZ and told the gossip rag, “It just didn’t work for me” adding in a somewhat weird metaphor, “I will only ride a merry-go-round with my kids.” According to TMZ’s vague sources, money and the demands of Lohan’s handlers were too much for Fiore who balked.
So now, the film just has John Travolta and Joe Pesci signed on as its one-time director, Nick Cassavetes, recently left the project — and a Victoria Gotti still needs to be found.
As the title implies, the film will take a look at the notorious Gotti crime family from the perspective of John Gotti Jr. (who was the one who sold and set up the picture). Travolta will play John Gotti Sr., with Pesci lined up as Angelo Ruggiero, a high-ranking member of the Gambino crime family and close friend. Provided everything comes together, the film will shoot later this year.
Ah-haaaaaaa….
Well well.
I thought the TITLE would have the UPDATE.
Thanks.
Uh, the very first line of the article is the update?
Really surprised that you guys haven\’t updated this yet. I was looking forward to getting your sometimes-smarmy take on things… Yes she\’s back in, as Gotti Jr\’s wife, KIM. According to THR….
I wish Lindsay Lohan would do more mainstream films and finally stop fooling around like she has been doing for the last six years.
I guess we should expect one of the below young actresses to play Victoria Gotti:
Sophia Bush, Evan Rachel Wood, Kat Dennings, Emma Roberts, Miley Cyrus, Blake Lively, Rachel Bilson, Hilary Duff, Leighton Meester, Mischa Barton, Taylor Momsen, Jessica Szohr
