Really, Marvel? While fans extend the comic giant enough goodwill that the company could murder baby unicorns and get away with it, you have to admit, this is pretty lame.
As everyone knows, the big post-credits surprise of “Captain America: The First Avenger” is a teaser trailer for “The Avengers,” and despite the footage leaking to the web before the film hit theaters, Marvel has kept it under wraps. Well, sort of. About 10 seconds worth of that teaser has hit, proceeded by the closing scene of ‘Captain America.’ In the spot we get a quip from Iron Man, Thor looking menacing and throwing his hammer and that’s about it (oh wait, there’s about once second of Black Widow as well). Judging by the spot you would think the movie is going to be a cameo-thon (and well, it kind of will be) but it’s hardly enough to get us excited especially when we know the full teaser is a lot more exciting. But whatever, Marvel will probably put the whole magilla online officially soon enough and we’ll be writing this post all over again.
“The Avengers” opens on May 4, 2012.
Looks like someone\’s trying to upstage The Dark Knight Rises.
Out of all the endings to the Marvel set up films for the Avengers, this was the most disappointing. Oh, look, Cap USA is mad and he needs Sam Jackson to say something about a team to set up the minimal trailer of the Avengers. Ugh.
I can\’t understand why are they showing the last scene of the movie.
Please edit that last sentence. It looks like the byproduct of three sentences.
