This week at The Playlist, we've been using the run up to the Oscars this weekend to focus on people who should have or have surprisingly never been nominated for an Oscar. Each year, there are always a few films that for whatever reason don't get the recognition they deserve, and certainly "Martha Marcy May Marlene" fits into that category.
Directed by Sean Durkin making his feature length debut and featuring a nervy, breakthrough performance by Elizabeth Olsen and an always solid supporting turn by John Hawkes, the film cleverly cuts between past and present, presenting a chronicle of a woman who seeks to start her life over after fleeing a cult. However, her paranoia at being discovered by those involved in her former life continues to plague her, and she strives to gain a sense of normalcy now that she's back out in the world.
If you haven't seen the film, now's your chance, because we've got 5 copies of the film on DVD to giveaway to some lucky readers. So how do you win? Email us with the name of one of the movies that played Sundance in 2012 that featured Elizabeth Olsen. Good luck!
Update: Contest is closed, winners will be contact via email.
