Just yesterday we were saying that magazines doing photo shoots based on movie scenes is becoming a pretty regular thing, and why not? The movies have provided some of the most iconic imagery of all time, so why not riff on that for spreads in glossy mags? Well, Robert Pattinson is the latest to jump into the pool, with a set of pics dedicated to the work of his latest collaborator, David Cronenberg.
The "Cosmopolis" star came up with the idea for Premiere France (via Movies), wanting to do something way more daring than just pouting at the camera. The result was a thirteen-hour session in Los Angeles where Pattinson was the center of snaps that pay homage to a range of Cronenberg's most celebrated films, including "Videodrome," "Dead Ringers" and "Scanners." And yeah, appearing in a magazine with a deep, festering wound in your torso is pretty damn daring, so mission accomplished all around.
Anyway, you take a look at the result below. Certainly, everyone involved is pushing "Cosmopolis" as a freaky return to form for Cronenberg, so let's hope it truly is. The film premieres at Cannes on Friday, May 25th and will open in theaters later this summer.
What, no Crash?
Why didnt he do the head exploding from Scanners? Also what's the deal this guy, getting on my good books too much
mega

It's a cool shoot. I especially like the videodrome homage.
I like it!
Oh PR stunt you have me here … "Que les derniers faux-semblants pouvant encore peser sur lâacteur sâenvoleront aussi hâtivement quâils étaient apparus." Damn youz !
