Marketing movies is one part art, one part science and third part sheer luck, as studios forever try to make sure their films both find their intended audience and still have enough appeal for the magical four quadrants. But over at 20th Century Fox, they seem to care less about crafting a campaign, preferring to just show you as much of the movie as possible in advance. Just look at their rollout for "Prometheus" and "X-Men: First Class" in case you need any more proof. And so it goes with "Taken 2" as yet another clip has dropped.
This latest one is mostly centered on Kim Mills (Maggie Grace), who gets help from her father, who is being held captive, but still manages a cell phone call out of that dank dungeon. Guess he doesn't have AT&T (zing!). And his first bit of instruction to his daughter? Throw an live grenade out of the window of a busy hotel in the middle of the day, because who the fuck cares if it kills anyone, he needs to hear the explosion so he can determine how far away he is. Luckily, no one was injured, except a car. Does All State cover that?
Anyway, take a look below and get tooken on October 5th. [HeyUGuys]
