It looks like "ABC World News" — for those that will watch national news telecasts — got a makeover recently, with some snazzy new graphics, a fresh logo and more, but the biggest change that film nerds will want to take note of is the show's theme. It has been redone by none other than "The Dark Knight" and "Inception" composer Hans Zimmer.
While it's not quite as BRAAAHM-tacular as we might have wanted, it does the job of providing a stirring background for Diane Sawyer to drop her news bombs with, but without overpowering the host. So mission accomplished from the eight-time Oscar nominee (and one-time winner). To see if it works for you and makes your news even newsier, give it a spin below. [via Film Music Reporter]
total crap theme
Sounds like a sampled string patch. Meh.
You can hear Hans Zimmer.
