Comedian and actor Bernie Mac passed away Saturday at the age of 50 due to complications from pneumonia (not related to his sarcoidosis) which already had him hospitalised, according to a family member and his publicist. His condition was stable on Thursday, but now Bernard Jeffrey McCollough aka Big Mac, seen in “The Bernie Mac Show” which I believe to be his career highlight to the “Ocean” films, the ever warm and welcoming comedic talent is no longer with us. Chicago Sun-Times columnist Stella Foster had the following to say: “When I got the call this morning, it was just devastating news,” and then ”Let’s face it: Bernie Mac was one of a kind. He was the best of the best in terms of giving you a good laugh.” I could not agree with her more.
Gone, but never to be forgotten, rest in peace Bernie Mac
