‘65’ Trailer: Adam Driver Transforms Into An Action Hero Fighting Dinosaurs In Sci-Fi Thriller From Sam Raimi

In a few short years, Adam Driver has gone from underground TV curiosity to the most compelling leading man in movies. The young actor has already notched two consecutive Oscar nominations for his roles in 2018’s “BlacKkKlansman” and 2019’s “Marriage Story,” plus an extended excursion into the “Star Wars” universe. The last two years have seen Driver collaborate with “A-list” auteurs like Ridley Scott (“The Last Duel,” “House of Gucci”) and Michael Mann (the upcoming “Enzo Ferrari”). But he’s also found time to return to space, albeit in a slightly more vulnerable context than that of Kylo Ren.

The science fiction thriller “65” was written and directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, the screenwriting team behind “A Quiet Place.” Here’s the official synopsis, but essentially the gist is, an astronaut crash lands on a mysterious planet only to discover he’s not alone. That includes a little girl and dinosaurs.

After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth…65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive. From the writers of A Quiet Place and producer Sam Raimi comes 65,  a sci-fi thriller starring Adam Driver, Ariana Greenblatt, and Chloe Coleman. Written and directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods and produced by Sam Raimi, Deborah Liebling and Zainab Azizi. Also produced by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods.

The project was produced by pulp genre filmmaker extraordinaire Sam Raimi, who, aside from helming the highly-anticipated “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” has helped shepherd throwback horror films like 2016’s “Don’t Breathe” to box-office success.

The movie also stars Ariana Greenblatt (“Awake,” “In the Heights”) and Chloe Coleman (“Marry Me,” “Big Little Lies”). Driver, meanwhile, is primed for another busy year; besides “65” and the aforementioned “Enzo Ferrari,” Driver will also star in Noah Baumbach’s “White Noise,” a Netflix-produced adaptation of the acclaimed Don DeLillo novel.

“65” will crash land in theaters on March 17, 2023. Watch the new trailer below.
