Sometimes you don’t realize how big a fan you are of a filmmaker. Not only did I select Oliver Assayas‘ supernatural drama “Personal Shopper” for my top 10 list of 2016, I also chose “Clouds of Sils Maria” as one of my top films of 2014. The former, which debuted at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and thereby qualified for my top 10, is finally hitting theaters in the U.S. this weekend and Assayas took some time to join the podcast.
The legendary director discusses the film’s incredible 20 minute Paris-to-London-to-Paris texting sequence, working with Kristen Stewart for the second time, whether his long in the works “Idol’s Eye” will ever get made, and more.
