As students head into summer and free of worrying about homework, teachers, tests and whatever else is on their mind, next fall, a whole new batch of kids will be entering high school for the first time. It can be a terrifying, alienating experience, making the already rough years of adolescence even more difficult, but at least at the cinema, there will be a movie that understands exactly what they're going through.
Following the trailer which premiered on the weekend during the MTV Movie Awards, four new images have arrived for "The Perks Of Being A Wallflower" showing off the leading cast of Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and "We Need To Talk About Kevin" star Ezra Miller. Based the book by Stephen Chbosky (who is also making his directorial debut), the film follows the titular wallflower Charlie (Lerman), who forms a deep friendship with Sam (Watson) and Patrick (Miller) to helps him break out of his shell and experience the high school life he thought was beyond his reach.
So far, the pic looks very promising and we'll see how it all turns out when it opens on September 14th.
actually, the majority of fans that have read the book (like myself) already know that the author is the director as well, so the movie shouldn't be dissapointing at all….
Only Ezra Miller in this is well worthy, is like actually side-kick roles in chick flicks usually are the most attention-catching actors.
What is going to be entertaining is when all the fans of the novel come out of the film complaining how "this is and that was all wrong" without realizing the director of the film is also the novel's author.
