The Recording Academy handed out the winners of the 2019 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night and a number of the early awards went to movie-centric nominees.
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper won Best Song Written For Visual Media for “Shallow” from “A Star is Born.” Ludwig Göransson work for “Black Panther” won Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media and “The Greatest Showman” took best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media.

The documentary “Quincy,” about Grammy legend Quincy Jones, took Best Music Film.
In some of the top categories Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, took Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “This Is America.” Kasey Musgraves won Album of the Year for “Golden Hour.” Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Drake, H.E.R. and Dua Lipa also took home major honors.
