It would be shocking if Alfonso Cuaron didn’t win. He took the DGA, BAFTA, the Globe, you name it. There will be a strong contingent of Spike Lee supporters, but many members will believe they are giving him his due in the Adapted Screenplay category. [Updated Feb. 12]

Why are we even considering Black Panther? It is purely political. As a film, it is neither art nor entertainment but a slide show for neo black liberalism gone mad. The film does not work.
And as for the direction, it was micro managed to death, with horrendous cuts, terrible pacing, and even worse acting. Come on. Get a fucking grip. Please.
